Chers Parents: 700 Spectators, HK$ Raised for PSE
Chers Parents brought more than 700 people to the auditorium of the French International School in Tseung Kwan O. Beyond the laughter and the standing ovation, the production had a single purpose: to support Pour un Sourire d’Enfant. It raised €18,600, which will fund the renovation of the association’s roofs in Cambodia.

A family comedy with universal reach
Written by Armelle and Emmanuel Patron and directed by Agnès Seelinger, Chers Parents explores the tangle of family relationships and the unconditional bond between parents and children. Charlotte Grayson, Bertrand Leduby, Gaëlle Neau, JB Peloux and Paul Milon carried the piece with emotion, precision and humour. Armelle Patron attended one of the performances and was invited on stage, bringing the work and its audience unusually close.
Every ticket went to the cause
What sets this production apart is where the money went. One hundred per cent of the proceeds were donated to Pour un Sourire d’Enfant, an organisation that lifts Cambodian children out of poverty through education and vocational training. The €18,600 raised will pay for the renovation of the roofs of its buildings, improving daily conditions for the children it supports.
Made possible by many hands
JCDecaux, a partner since the first edition, the French Consulate and the French International School all backed the project, the latter by opening its auditorium. Karine Zanini handled the surtitles, Vincent Wong the stage management. Sonia Peloux and Catherine Boulet-Gercourt produced, with Thomas Flamend as assistant director.
