Seelinger Arts Foundation is a Hong Kong–based non-profit organisation committed to fostering meaningful cultural dialogue between France and Hong Kong through the arts. We focus on the performing arts, particularly theatre, as a way to bring people together, spark reflection, and create shared experiences beyond borders.
We are guided by the conviction that art and culture are essential drivers of mutual understanding, social cohesion, and meaningful exchange between communities.
Through curated artistic programmes, educational initiatives, and inclusive public engagement, we aim to contribute to Hong Kong’s cultural landscape while building lasting connections between French and Hong Kong artists, audiences, and institutions.
Recognized as a charitable organization by the Hong Kong government, donations to the Seelinger Arts Foundation are tax-deductible.

The People Behind the Foundation
Agnès Seelinger
Founder and Artistic Director
Trained in dance and music, Agnès began her career as an actress after studying at Cours Florent in Paris. She went on to produce and direct theatre and film in France, Singapore, mainland China and Hong Kong. Her empathy and sharp eye allow her to reach deep into characters and bring out the best in the actors she directs.
Jean Lahirle
Founder and CEO
Jean brings over thirty years of experience as a senior executive in the luxury industry, with positions at Chanel, Celine and Delvaux, and deep expertise across the Asia-Pacific region. He oversees the Foundation’s finances and ensures that every contribution reaches the projects it was intended for.
Marion Burlaud
Communications Director
A creative communications and marketing professional, Marion is deeply committed to the arts and to the people who bring them to life. She recently joined the Foundation, where she leads its communications strategy, working at the intersection of strategic thinking and genuine cultural curiosity.
