Les Zinzins at the Hong Kong Fringe Festival
Reason has left the building. Everyone on stage is madder than the last, and every single one of them is certain they are right. Les Zinzins ran for eight performances at the Fringe Club in February 2026, presented as part of the Hong Kong Fringe Festival.

A play built from monologues
Les Zinzins was adapted from the monologues of Christophe Averlan, then reassembled into a single piece and produced by the Seelinger Arts Foundation. The result is a comedy of collective unreason, where the question is less what these characters want than how far each of them will go to be proved right, and how the whole thing can possibly end.
Directed by Agnès Seelinger
Agnès Seelinger directed. A French actress trained at Cours Florent in Paris, she has been directing dramatic comedies across Asia for twenty years. Musician Stéphane Lam joined the creative team. Founder of the Pavillon Rouge des Arts Hong Kong and winner of the 2023 French Trophies for East Asia in Arts and Culture, he has built much of his work around artistic collaboration between Europe and Asia.
Eight performances over four days
The production ran from Thursday 5 to Sunday 8 February 2026 at the Fringe Club’s Central Jockey Club Studio Theatre, with two performances a day: 7.15pm and 8.30pm on the Thursday and Friday, 4pm and 7.15pm on the Saturday, and 2pm and 4pm on the Sunday. The play was performed in French, without surtitles.
Fringe, and why it fits
The Hong Kong Fringe Festival is one of the places where the city’s independent theatre is most visible. Supporting cultural diversity through fringe theatre is part of what the Foundation set out to do, and taking a French-language comedy to that particular stage is a fairly direct expression of it.
