Uniting cultures through art
The Seelinger Arts Foundation was established in June 2023 through the collaboration of two complementary worlds: the artistic realm, in which Agnès Seelinger has thrived since childhood, and the business world, where Sophie Lamacq has excelled for over 20 years. These two lifelong friends, both French by birth, have lived and worked in Hong Kong and China for the past 25 years.
This is how the charitable association was born. Since its inception, it has worked to promote French art in Hong Kong and to strengthen artistic cooperation between France and China, while supporting local artists and various charitable initiatives. It also provides assistance to Po Leung Kuk, an institution founded in 1876 and renowned in Hong Kong for its dedication to orphans and women in need.
We build lasting bridges between art and society
Trained in dance and music, Agnès Seelinger has enjoyed a long career as an actress, director, and energy coach in both France and Hong Kong. The Foundation began by producing theater projects and plans to expand into painting, music, dance, and photography. It aims to bring French culture to China, particularly Hong Kong, and Chinese culture to France, while facilitating exchanges between Hong Kong actors performing French plays and French authors presenting works in Hong Kong, fostering a mutual cultural enrichment.
In addition to producing and participating in artistic projects, the Foundation organizes coaching sessions for actors and directors, as well as masterclasses focused on applying theatrical techniques for personal development.
The Seelinger Arts Foundation funds its projects, as well as its support for artists and local charities, through donations collected from masterclasses, coaching activities, ticket sales from performances, and the generosity of its benefactors. The Foundation’s board works on a volunteer basis. Recognized as a charitable organization by the Hong Kong government, donations to the Seelinger Arts Foundation are tax-deductible.

Agnès Seelinger

Agnès began her career as an actress after studying at Cours Florent in Paris, performing alongside figures such as Danièle Darrieux and Gérard Jugnot. Later moving to Asia, she pursued a career as a theater and film producer and director, working in France, Singapore, Mainland China, and Hong Kong. Her empathetic nature allows her to deeply understand characters and actors.
